This is the estate of a longtime Woodshire resident, with mid-century modern furniture and a wide mix of household treasures. No estate-sale signs are posted. Look for Open House signs instead. Please be respectful and discreet, and do not block driveways or alleys.
Fine jewelry sits alongside mid-century furniture, including a Herman Miller George Nelson Basic Series record cabinet, a Burke tulip table, a Danish modern side chair, and modern bedroom furniture by Henredon. Metal wall sculptures, signed and numbered David Adickes prints, and other 1970s art fill out the walls. There is a mid-century owl collection, stained-glass lamps, and a pair of newer spun-aluminum and blonde-wood dresser lamps.
A game table and chairs are set up with mahjong in mind. The vintage kitchen includes Pyrex and Blue Cornflower CorningWare. An unusual mid-century breakfast table has a marble top, and Italian ladderback chairs with rush seats are in the style of Gio Ponti. Also here: a painted 1960s desk, vintage books, leather sofas, a mid-century Acrosonic piano, vinyl LPs and 45s, and a 1950s Singer sewing machine. A stairway chair lift is in working condition and has been disassembled so it is ready for installation.
Cash and credit cards are accepted. Credit cards carry a 3 percent convenience fee. On a credit-card purchase of $50 or more, bring help for any furniture. Everything is sold as-is, where-is. The sale closes promptly at the posted closing time, so be ready to check out 15 minutes beforehand.
