Margie Beegle Sales is opening a Briargrove estate packed with mid-century and modern furniture, fine crystal and porcelain, and a deep run of estate jewelry. Armed security will be on site throughout the sale, and the home is monitored — shop with the usual courtesy and patience of a high-interest weekend sale.

Furniture and statement pieces

Mid-century and modern highlights include a dining room set, sofa, slatted bench, a custom parchment sideboard and side tables valued in the listing narrative around the twenty-thousand-dollar range, an entertainment unit, lamps, and more. Antiques include an Oriental-inspired dining suite, side tables, and chests. Expect a gorgeous master bedroom suite with bed and vintage bedside tables, plus a French Provincial armchair and vintage luggage rack.

Also called out: a mirrored pedestal with a pair of very retro side tables, shabby-chic seating (love seat, ottomans, bench, chairs), hooked rugs, and garden pots with outdoor furniture.

Crystal, porcelain, and rare smalls

Named makers and categories include Lalique, Herend, Swarovski, Daum, Tiffany glass, Lladro, Nao, Limoges, Wedgwood, Delft, blue-and-white porcelain, Val St. Lambert, Waterford, Orrefors, Rosenthal, Depression glass, American brilliant cut glass, and other rare smalls. Look for silver plate and crystal, a fine Waterford two-light candelabra, a fabulous enormous Blenko decanter/vase, and Oriental decorative arts including a woodblock print and a beautiful screen.

Jewelry, art, lighting, and linens

Expect lots of estate jewelry — signed costume, custom pieces, gold, sterling, and Native American. Jewelry photos continue to post as the sale approaches. Art of many kinds is in the rooms, including listed artists with more detail to come. Vintage chandelier and lamp parts are a major sidebar: Waterford bobeches, arms, cups, finials, and stems; Murano and Italian parts; matching vintage shades; Rice Hotel-era green-and-white overlay bobeches with crystal prisms; Czech crystal parts; and complete vintage chandeliers and sconces (painted brass sconces, 1940s Italian tear-drop chandelier, a rare E.F. Caldwell hand-painted brass five-light chandelier circa the 1940s, and a painted iron five-light with Czech crystal made in England).

Sales are first come, first served. Time does not allow phone calls about the sale; please plan to shop in person rather than calling for previews.

Payment and tax

Cash, Mastercard, Discover, and Visa are the only forms of payment accepted. Bring one of those methods. Credit cards carry a 4% convenience fee.

If you want to buy without sales tax, you must present a paper copy of your valid Resale Sales and Use License.

Age, bags, as-is, and moving

No one under 15 years of age is allowed on the property.

Large purses are not allowed inside the house — a bag must fit within an 8½-by-11-inch sheet of paper to come in.

All items are sold as-is and all sales are final. If you buy it, make sure you can move it yourself — Margie Beegle Sales sells the treasures and does not provide moving help.

You are responsible for removing your purchases by the end of the sale unless you have a signed contract stating otherwise.
