Margie Beegle Sales is opening a Briargrove Park home in Houston's 77042 area, with antiques, smalls, rugs, art, and books throughout the house and garage. The full street address will be posted here before opening.

Furniture, lighting, and rugs

Case pieces include a pair of antique armoires, an antique chest, bookcases, a primitive pine table, a vintage four-poster bed, a sewing table, a cedar trunk, and a painted German trunk. Mid-century seating includes a pair of McGuire bamboo chairs with a foyer table, plus another pair of chairs, a mid-century lamp, and a vase. Two leather sofas, side tables, and coffee tables are in the living spaces.

Lighting includes a pair of crystal sconces, a single electrified gilt sconce, a shabby-chic chandelier, and other fixtures. Also look for gilt shelves from Italy, a French two-tier table with gilt trim, vintage wall shelves and displays, mid-century mirrors, a vintage bench, and mantel clocks. Rugs include room-size pieces, smaller rugs, and a runner.

China, crystal, and collections

A Noritake Legendary china service is described as near mint, offered in blue and in blue with silver. Surrounding it are American brilliant-cut crystal, silver plate, Delft, Limoges, vintage German steins, a broader stein collection, lacquer ware, a slag-glass lamp, a leaded-glass window, papier-mache desk accessories, and a large group of blue-and-white china and pots. Oriental decor is part of the smalls.

Books, clothing, and the kitchen

Books lean toward religion, including volumes a century or two old, with some art books, cookbooks, and vintage yearbooks. One highlighted copy is the 1916 edition of Marie Webster's Quilts: Their Story and How to Make Them.

Women's clothing, shoes, and purses include furs and vintage labels noted as A. Nipon, T. Burch, K. Spade, Talbots, and L. Pulitzer, in about sizes 6 through 12, with shoes around 6.5 and 7.5. About 20 V. Bradley pieces and roughly 50 new Mexican blouses and dresses are included. Table and floor lamps, a pair of modern-classic bar stools, a mahogany four-poster bed, a mahogany reproduction chest with mirror, another chest, a pair of side tables, art, a petite mahogany dining table with Chippendale-style chairs, a pair of upholstered armchairs, vintage chair sets, and a corner chair fill out the rooms.

Shabby-chic pieces include painted benches and tables, children's items, tole trays in several sizes with a tole-tray table, a French provincial side table, and a petite china cabinet. The kitchen is packed with small appliances and cookware from All-Clad, Williams Sonoma, and Emile Henry, along with more American brilliant-cut glass, silver plate, Delft, and Limoges.

Garden goods and the garage

Outside pieces include vintage painted metal, a patio set, an umbrella with a stand, pots, and metal decor. The garage holds two leather sofas, a modern dining suite with table, chairs, and china cabinet, and bookcases full of books.

Payment, entry, and pickup rules

Shopping is first come, first served. The seller does not take phone calls about the sale. No one under 15 is allowed on the property. Every item is sold as-is, and all sales are final.

The only accepted payments are cash, Mastercard, Discover, and Visa. Credit cards add a 4 percent convenience fee. To avoid sales tax, present a paper copy of a valid resale sales-and-use license.

If you buy it, you move it. The company sells the goods and does not provide movers. Purchases must be removed by the end of the sale unless you have a signed contract that says otherwise. Large purses are not allowed in the house; a bag must fit within an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper.
