This Briargrove house has been shut for a long stretch, and it still feels that way: dust, a closed-in smell, and belongings piled where they were left. The sale is a slow treasure hunt. The better finds are often under or behind something else, so plan to look carefully. Sturdy closed-toe shoes and a mask are recommended. Anyone sensitive to dust or odors should think carefully before going in.
Hundreds of clothing pieces are here, including ball gowns and other formal wear, along with about 150 pairs of shoes and dozens of hats. Glass-front cabinets hold 1960s furniture, chandeliers, china, crystal, and mirrors. Kitchen collectibles are mixed through the rooms. Outside, the yard has pots, planters, and garden benches, including a stone table with curved seats.
A police officer is on duty the whole time. Purses, backpacks, tote bags, strollers, and baby carriers stay outside. Only a cell phone and a wallet come in. Anything you buy has to leave the property before the sale closes; nothing is held for a later pickup. Bring whatever tools you need for appliances or other heavy pieces. Loading and moving are the buyer's job.
Dealers must show a valid sales-tax exemption certificate. The company is not responsible for accidents. Nothing is warranted, expressed or implied. Every sale is final: no refunds and no exchanges. Payment is Venmo, Zelle, or credit card.
